Impatiently waiting...

Our monogram from Pink Design, is going to be so awesome on our invitations. If you need a monogram, contact Nicole now, you won't regret it!

Also awesome, will be our pocketfolds from Cards and Pockets.

I have even received the damask stamp I want to try to use for embossing from Impress.

So, why then, can I not show you my first attempt at an invitation? I still have no heat gun for the embossing! It was ordered on Monday by my lovely bridesmaid Audra as a Christmas present, but still has not arrived. I am not a patient person, and my paper is one of the elements I am most excited about (being beaten, of course, only by my awesome photographer Clary and my awesome planner Stephanie). Come on postal service, I am tired of making my friends invitations, hurry up!

My bridesmaids

I have been in two weddings. While I am sure there is photographic evidence of the first, my aunt's wedding sometime in the late-ish 90's, it will never be seen here. The second, my sister Audra's, was in 2006. My sister Kristi, my maid of honor, is to the immediate left of the bride (although half her face is being overtaken by the bride's veil).

My third bridesmaid is my best friend Alyssa. We met randomly at a lunch on a scholarship interview day when we were sitting at the same table. We both received the scholarship and have lived near or together 3 of the last 4 years as well as been in several classes since we are both super awesome business majors. We also serve on the executive board of a student org together. That being said, I just tried to think of any pictures we have together and if we have taken any, I don't have them. Lys, we must remedy that, at the very least, at graduation!

To all three of my girls, I love you!

Winter Break

As of 3:30 today, I officially have 3 accounting and finance free weeks! My first attempt at working on an invitation design will probably occur in the next week, as all materials for this project are currently on their way to me. I will be attempting an invitation à la Wedding Bee's Miss Fondue.
